Cloudingo
Cloudingo runs entirely inside Salesforce as a managed package. Fuzzy matching on names and emails, automated dedup rules that fire on create or edit, and bulk merge workflows. I like it for teams that want prevention, not just cleanup. The UI is cleaner than DemandTools and the learning curve is shorter.
Why it ranks here
- Salesforce-native; no data leaves your org
- Automated rules fire in real-time or scheduled
- Easier to learn than DemandTools for new admins
Where it sits
- Real-time prevention and simpler interface than DemandTools
- Salesforce-native architecture and deeper coverage than Insycle
- DemandTools handles larger bulk operations and more complex configurations
How GTM Systems teams use it
- Real-time dedup rules on Lead and Contact create
- Weekly scheduled scans to surface duplicates for review
- Bulk merge after trade show uploads or list imports
- Fuzzy matching to catch typos and domain variations
In-depth notes
- Per-user or per-org license; check bulk limits on lower tiers
- Managed package means it respects all Salesforce security and validation
- Does not do mass edits or field transformations; purely dedup
- The automated rules need tuning; I start conservative and tighten over time
Best for
Salesforce admins who want automated dedup prevention and a native-package trust model
Avoid if
You need bulk field editing or complex transformations (DemandTools is better)

Learning guide
Setup
Install the managed package from AppExchange, assign permissions to admin users, and configure your first matching rule for Leads or Contacts. Define exact and fuzzy match criteria.
First thing to build
Create a real-time dedup rule on Lead create that flags duplicates by email domain and company name. Run a bulk scan on existing Leads to surface duplicates for review, then bulk merge.
What actually matters
- Match criteria: exact email, fuzzy name, domain matching
- Automation trigger: real-time on create vs scheduled scan
- Merge confidence threshold: auto-merge vs flag-for-review
- Field mapping: which record wins for each field during merge
Watch out
Start with conservative fuzzy match thresholds; overly aggressive rules will flag false positives and slow down reps.
